Happy New Year!

Happy New Year everyone! I know that some people have their new year’s resolutions and ready to see what 2018 has to offer them. But I dare to ask….” what season were you in 2017?” You must know where you have been in order to know where you are going. So, I believe that hindsight is given to us for that exact reason.

The definition of Hindsight is to understand a situation or event only after it has happened or developed.

Hence, the commonly known slogan “Hindsight is 20:20.” Everything is clear now because you lived through it. You may hear someone say…”If I didn’t lose my job I would have never started my business” or “If I hadn’t lost everything I wouldn’t have known God to be a provider”. God is coming in and teaching us lessons that we can only appreciate in the aftermath.  Therefore, what was your season in 2017?

As for myself, 2017 was a season of development and trusting God. I don’t believe I knew what it meant to truly trust God until I had no other alternative. I get so big headed and try to lean on my own understanding. This notion has failed continuously. There were nights I had to pray because I couldn’t carry the burden myself. And like a superhero, God came in every time and rescued me. That’s when I learned the true meaning of having Faith.

Faith is not knowing how it can happen but trusting God that it will happen.

I don’t know what 2018 has to offer me but I’m sure the Lord will have a funny way of showing me his path. With the faith that I gained in 2017, I will trust him and follow him. I will walk into everything that he has for me because I know him for myself to be true.

And for anyone who is reading this, I pray many blessings for your 2018. Please feel free to comment your season! I would Love to hear.  ❤

Proverbs 3:5 ESV

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.
