Go For It! #Again

As mere humans, we always seem to remember the missed shots. The things that we did not say, the opportunities that we missed, and the dreams that we didn’t make a reality. It’s rare that someone tells you that you can make a rebound or that you can try and try again. Instead, people tend to advise you on different things that you can accomplish rather than giving you the encouragement to tackle the very thing that you initially sought after.

However, you’re only a failure if you choose to stop trying to succeed.

The moment that you give up on yourself is the moment that everything that you once worked for goes to waste.

1 Thessalonians 5:11

Therefore enourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.

We should encourage one another but sadly that is not always the case. The truth is that you don’t need others to validate your purpose on this Earth. And the Lord has put everything inside of you that you need to succeed. We miss that a lot because we live in a time where people broadcast your failures and whisper your accomplishments, but it’s important that we understand our self-worth! The best encouragement is self-encouragement. It’s the nights that you put in perfecting your craft alone. It’s the studying, the footwork, and the overtime that goes unaccounted for. It’s the self-awareness of knowing your limits and knowing what it takes to push them without recognition from others.

As a friend to a friend, I encourage you to go after the rebound! If you missed your shot grab the ball and shoot again! Re-take the test, rebuild, rebrand, or start over if you must. But never give up!

Just because you’ve missed a shot doesn’t mean that you can’t try and try again. May these words find you and fill all of your empty places. May you see everything in yourself that the Lord has placed in you!

1 Peter 2:9

But you are chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.
