Running to the Word

Many times we run to others for words of wisdom instead of going to the Word of God. Sometimes other people are not equipped to handle the burdens of our life and other people may not have the answers for your life. However, the Lord will not mislead us nor confuse us. Follow His Words for each empty place within yourself. Here are a couple of my go-to bible verses when life seems a little too much to handle.

When it’s time to start a long day– This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it. (Psalm 118:24)

When I need motivation–  For I know the plans I have for you, “declares the Lord,” plans to prosper you and not to hard you, plans to give you hope and a future. (Jeremiah 29:11)

When I am sad– But you, Lord, are a shield around me, my glory, the One who lifts my head high. (Psalm 3:3)

When I feel anxious– Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition,  with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. ( Philippians 4:6)

When I feel like what I have isn’t enough– Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” (Hebrews 13:5)

When I am overwhelmed–  He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” (Psalm 46:10)

When I am grieving– Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. (Matthew 5:4)

When I feel alone– So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. (Isaiah 41:10)

Life isn’t always easy. But with God, you can live a joyful, happy, and purpose-driven life. Thank you for reading & I pray this helps you just as much as it helps me. ❤
