In the U.S., when I think about the laws they are in place to protect, govern, and regulate various areas in society. Could you imagine for a brief moment a lawless society? The thought of that is alarming. The upcoming posts over the next few weeks will be a series taking an in-depth look at the Ten Commandments. In the Bible, God gave Moses the ten commandments for the children of Israel as a standard of how to live. How many times do we hear the comment, ”You must live holy?” You may have heard it so many times you no longer keep count if you grew up in the church life. Or maybe you’ve never heard the comment so this is new for you. My prayer for all that takes time to read the weekly post is that you can learn something new, fortify your faith, and anchor your heart in the arms of the Jesus. More than just having something inspirational to read, we want to give you God’s word and a weekly dose of truth. The biblical truth may be deemed offensive and controversial by a few because it targets the hidden things in our flesh, heart, and minds that is not like God. In God’s truth, there is true liberty that can’t be justified with an explanation, but must be experienced. The ten commandments are in place to protect and govern the true believers of God. The world will think the laws are antiquated, laughable and non- applicable in this present day. I pray that you posture your heart and mind to be strengthened and renewed by God’s word through this study.
“For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discern er of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”(Hebrews 4:12 KJV)
